Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

$2,489 Weekly Gross | $1,082 Taxable ($30.05/hr) | $1,407 Stipend | OT: $45/hr | Call Back: $60/hr | Days | START ASAP | Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

365 Healthcare is seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a day-shift travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate has strong post-operative and acute medical-surgical experience and the flexibility to float between campuses. This opportunity offers excellent pay, consistent scheduling, and a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: Days | 3x12s (36 hrs/week)

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other or every 3rd, including holiday rotation if scheduled

  • On-Call: None

  • Float: Required across local campuses

  • EMR: Epic

  • Unit Size: 24–26 beds (based on census)

  • Patient Ratio: Days 1:4–6 | Nights 1:5–6

  • Patient Types: General Med Surg, GYN, Breast, ENT/OTO, Post-op Surgical

  • Drips: Heparin and other standard med-surg infusions

Pay Details

  • Weekly Gross: $2,489

  • Taxable Base: $1,082/week ($30.05/hr)

  • Stipend: $1,407/week (Housing + Meals & Incidentals)

  • Overtime Rate: $45/hr

  • Call Back Rate: $60/hr

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience

  • Epic EMR experience required

  • Post-op surgical care experience (general, GYN, breast, ENT/OTO)

  • Certifications: BLS (AHA) – Required

  • License: Active Iowa RN license (Compact accepted)
