Description: MUST BE WILLING TO COMPLETE MEDICAL AND FINGERPRINTS WITHIN 24-48 HOURS IF OFFERED!This position follows TrioWFS's clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable with decisions typically made the same day or next business day. Applicants who are looking for more than 7 days off, who are seeking more than 50% of holidays off, and/or have negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline. If a new grad, candidate will not get the clinical interview process, they will be presented to the facility for review Leads, guides and directs the delivery of speech language pathology andaudiology services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations,standards and established facility policies and procedures to provideappropriate care and services to residents.Task and Responsibilities:

• Treats all residents with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents rights.
• Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
• Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality to appropriate personnel.
• Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor and/or administrator. Protects residents from abuse, and cooperates with all investigations.
• Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility s emergency plan.
• Follows established infection control policies and procedures.

Personal Skills/Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must have patience, tact, and willingness to deal with difficult residents, family and staff.
• Ability to assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Communicates with medical, nursing staff, and all departments.
• Accepts call-backs during emergency conditions.

RequirementDescription:

• 1+ years minimum of current long-term care SLP experience - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Valid, unrestricted license in Speech Language Pathology in the state of Michigan - [REQUIRED]
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care - [REQUIRED]
• Will consider first time travelers and locals
