• Hospital (Days): Duration:13 Weeks Start:12/01/2025 Description: Hospital Dietitian assesses patients’ nutritional needs and develops individualized diet plans to support medical treatment and recovery. They collaborate with physicians and care teams to manage dietary interventions for various conditions. The dietitian monitors patient progress, adjusts meal plans, and provides nutrition education. They ensure compliance with hospital food standards and promote optimal patient health outcomes. Reports to: Food Services Director Patient Population: All ages Must be able to move independently POSITION EXPECTATIONS: Includes but is not limited to):Evaluates, assesses, and plans nutrition care to meet patient nutritional needs. Assesses patient nutritional status using documented medical information and established nutritional standards. Counsels patients and/or families by identifying nutrition-related problems. Develops plans of instruction and nutritional care, and monitoring results. Identifies inpatients at nutritional risk and documents recommendations. Diagnose and develop intervention for patients with malnutrition Participates in physicians' rounds, discharge planning rounds, and conferences with nutritional implications. Conducts education programs for patients, community groups, and staff. Precept and mentor new staff or existing staff in clinical specialty area. Develop therapeutic relationships with multiple subspecialty care team members and providers that enables planning and participating across a broader spectrum patient care. Cross-covers a broader spectrum of patient care areas and subspecialties as needed. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
