Your expertise will support patients’ rehabilitation and recovery, while collaborating closely with healthcare teams, families, and caregivers. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes, helping individuals regain their communication abilities and quality of life.Key Responsibilities:

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on assessments and patient progress.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide interventions.
• Monitor and document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge summaries in compliance with all regulations.
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech and swallowing therapies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support supervision of CFY and student Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Participate in patient care conferences, meetings, and relevant training sessions.
• Manage supplies and equipment as needed following clinical guidelines.
• Adhere strictly to ASHA, state licensure, and ethical standards throughout all practice activities.

Required Skills:

• Current ASHA and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Proven experience in evaluation and therapy for communication and swallowing disorders.
• Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience supervising or mentoring CFY or student SLPs.
• Knowledge of DME procurement and supply management.
• Bilingual abilities or multicultural competency.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Prior experience working in long-term care settings.
• Active involvement in professional development activities.

Other Requirements:

• Active ASHA and state licensure.
• Able to start by 05/25/2026.
• Must be able to work daytime hours in Purcell, OK.
• Travel or supply reimbursements where applicable.
