Temp - Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Harrisonville, MOJoin our team as a Temp Occupational Therapy Assistant and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives in a dynamic long-term care setting. This vital role offers the opportunity to support rehabilitative treatments that enhance cognitive and physical functioning, working closely under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists. If you are passionate about patient care, skilled in therapeutic interventions, and eager to grow professionally, this position is your next career step.Key Responsibilities include supporting clinical interventions with evidence-based practices, administering rehabilitative treatments such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices, and assessing patient progress. You will communicate treatment outcomes to supervising therapists, provide consultation to patients and families, and document all clinical activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Participation in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision of students are integral parts of your role. You will also collaborate to ensure the timely procurement of necessary supplies and adhere to professional practice standards set by NBCOT, AOTA, and state licensing boards.Required Skills:

• Current State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
• Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to assess and monitor patient progress
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
• Adherence to professional ethics, standards, and practice acts

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
• Bilingual capabilities
• Prior experience supervising students or supporting team training
• Familiarity with assistive technology and DME procurement

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited OTA program
• Prior clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care
• Active licensure or registration in the state of Missouri

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work daytime hours in Harrisonville, MO
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and team activities
• Willing to support supervision of students under licensed Occupational Therapists
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws including COVID-19 safety protocols
