This role is essential in supporting our patients' recovery and ensuring optimal respiratory health through hands-on care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Required Skills:

• Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Adherence to safety and infection control standards

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in emergency department (ED), inpatient, or ICU settings
• Ability to handle respiratory emergencies effectively
• Experience with transportation of respiratory patients
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 1-2 years of related clinical experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work 3x12-hour shifts (days, 6 am – 6 pm) starting May 4, 2026
• Local candidates within 50 miles of AVH are encouraged; a 10% rate reduction applies
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color, no denim), closed-toe shoes
• No perfume or cologne allowed during shifts
• Ability to handle typical patient needs in ED, inpatient, and transport settings
