What You’ll Do

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a post-anesthesia setting
• Assess patients upon admission and discharge, ensuring safety and comfort
• Monitor vital signs and manage IVs during recovery from anesthesia
• Collaborate with surgical teams and physicians to deliver seamless patient care
• Assist in the operating room as needed, stepping into PACU duties
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and instructions
• Manage up to 17 patients daily in an 8-bay unit practicing excellent multitasking

What You NeedRequired:

• Valid RN license in Vermont or willing to obtain
• BLS certification
• Experience in PACU or ICU preferred
• Strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills

Preferred:

• Additional certifications relevant to perioperative or recovery care
• Experience working in outpatient or same-day surgery settings

About the AssignmentThis role is located at a reputable outpatient surgery center serving patients aged 16 and older. The department consists of two operating rooms and a procedure room, providing mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care. The RN will primarily work in the PACU, with opportunities to assist in the OR as needed.
