What You’ll Do
  • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, and develop appropriate plans of care
  • Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
  • Provide skilled, medically necessary occupational therapy interventions (including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities)
  • Assess progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and document outcomes to ensure effectiveness
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients and communicate with families, caregivers, and service providers as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation, including required treatment minutes and discharge summaries
  • Participate in required meetings and trainings (e.g., patient care conferences, rehab meetings, in-services)
What You NeedRequired
  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure (state requirements not specified)
  • Ability to adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, including ethics and code of conduct
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to record treatment minutes accurately in the electronic system
