As part of our team, you will play a vital role in caring for patients undergoing complex procedures like PTCA, stents, TAVR, and heart surgeries, contributing to a hospital celebrated as one of the Top 50 Heart Hospitals in the U.S.Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in Michigan or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular or stepdown unit
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of cardiac procedures and post-operative care

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with electrophysiology studies or heart failure management
• Familiarity with clinical research protocols and trials
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree
• Previous experience in a high-acuity cardiac or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with national clinical trial procedures is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work night shifts consistently
• Must comply with McLaren Northern's attendance policy, including the recent 3-strike policy effective from 6/1/2024 (exceptions for communicable diseases or hospitalization with documentation)
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Travel or licensure reimbursements applicable where required
