Position Summary
Within the Education Abroad(EA)unit, this role offers the rewarding opportunity to engage with motivated students whoseekto make the world their classroom. This positionis responsible forproviding student support in the form of individualand group advisingthrough the application, pre-departure, experience abroad, and return of individual students and groups. Through presentations, virtual and in-person advising, emails, and outreach events, theadvisorwill serve as the primary contact for studentsthroughout their international education journey. This position will alsoincludeassigned team projects,attendanceat regularEA andadvisingteam meetings,andcompletion ofother administrative duties based on the needs of the office.

Required Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated interest and engagement and international education
Experience working in an office setting
Strong written,verbaland interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people at all levels of an organization, including culturally diverse communities
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience working in an education abroad office setting
Essential Duties
Serve as the EA advisor fortwotothreeblocksof open advisingper week and hold six hours of appointment advising (10-12 advising appointments per week)
Provide administrative support and serve as the campusadvisor foraspecificregional portfolio andgeneraleducationabroad 101 advising
Attend andparticipatein regular advising team meetings, lead classroomand grouppresentations, education abroad fair, tablingand other events to educate the CSU campus on international opportunities
Co-coordinateregionalinformation sessions andpre-departureorientation sessions for students, communicate with students abroad, and assists students upon return with questions related to program evaluation, credit transfer, etc.
Communicate individuallywith students, staff, and parents,in-person,virtually, viaemail, and over thephone,to assessappropriate programplacements, financial responsibilities, and CSU administrative policies on education abroad
Manage applicationsand support students through the education abroad process using theTerra Dotta Application Managementsystem
Serve as an alternate for GAC front desk coverage, as needed
Assistwith other projects/duties as assigned
