Level II NDT MT Technician- North Kingstown, RILong-Term Project OpportunityMISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking experienced Level II NDT MT Technicians for a long-term project in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.Project Details

Site: Quonset Point Shipyard- 165 Dillabur Ave., North Kingstown, RIDuration: 1 YearSchedule: 7/10s to 7/12sPay Rate: $40.00/hourPer Diem: $178.00/dayTraining: 3 weeks @ 40 hrs per week. 1 week of Mistras training, 2 weeks on site training

Position SummaryThe Level II MT Technician will perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspections in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, and customer specifications within a shipyard environment. Candidates must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in demanding industrial conditions.Job Responsibilities

Perform Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspectionsSet up and calibrate MT equipmentInterpret and evaluate inspection results and indicationsPrepare accurate inspection reports and documentationEnsure compliance with all customer, company, and safety proceduresWork closely with supervisors, inspectors, and project teamsMaintain inspection equipment and recordsSupport additional NDT methods as neededWork extended shifts and overtime as project demands require

Qualifications

Current Level II MT certification requiredMust have an excess of 140 hours experience in dry methodMust have 2+ years structural, bridge or similar experience using a yokePrevious shipyard, marine, or industrial inspection experience preferredStrong understanding of NDT procedures and inspection standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications

Additional NDT certifications (UT, PT, VT, RT) are a plusNAVSEA
