Job Description
As the employment agency hiring temporary workers to be assigned to the Gates Foundation, we are responsible for direct hiring and seeking candidates for the following temporary role at the Foundation.
AgileOne designs and develops global workforce and procurement solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. Our focused and consultative approach provides solutions that streamline business processes and deliver efficiencies to human resources, procurement, and suppliers.
The Foundation
We are the largest nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity around the world. Founded on a simple premise: people everywhere, regardless of identity or circumstances, should have the chance to live healthy, productive lives. We believe our employees should reflect the rich diversity of the global populations we aim to serve. We provide an exceptional benefits package to employees and their families which include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with no premiums, generous paid time off, paid family leave, foundation-paid retirement contribution, regional holidays, and opportunities to engage in several employee communities. As a workplace, we're committed to creating an environment for you to thrive both personally and professionally.
The Team
The mission of the Global Policy & Advocacy (GPA) division is to understand and shape the public policy debates affecting the foundation's work, build support for its major program and policy objectives, and develop partnerships and alliances that can advance the foundation's objectives nationally and globally. Because the foundation's resources alone are not enough to solve the challenges ahead, GPA also supports advocacy efforts to engage diverse partners and promote innovative solutions that advance our program goals. We work in close partnership with grantees, our colleagues in the Global Health, Global Development, Global Growth & Opportunity, and Gender Equality programs and Foundation Communications to build the environment in which all people have the opportunity to lead healthy and productive lives.
The Program Advocacy and Communications team works in partnership with program strategy teams across the Foundation and other teams in the Global Policy and Advocacy (GPA) Division to achieve their policy and finance goals by:
advocacy outcomes.
Your Role
The Senior Program Coordinator (SPC) is responsible for coordinating, developing, and handling a portfolio of investments across PAC programmatic advocacy areas, including the implementation and maintenance of a range of activities associated with the life cycle of grants and contracts. The role acts as a primary investment process advisor and contact for grantee/vendor initiation, reporting and closure, and serves as a primary liaison across multiple internal teams throughout the lifecycle of an investment. The SPC handles projects in support of programmatic strategic goals, while participating in the continuous improvement of enterprise resource allocation processes. The SPC provides oversight or supports elements of budget planning and financial reporting, provides expertise in internal (to PAC and GPA) and external processes and systems to advise decision-making, and works collaboratively with partners in a highly matrixed environment. Beyond investment management, this role supports the development of team and GPA division process improvements and roll-out efforts of new internal processes, in support of the efficient operations of the PAC team. The SPC will oversee several portfolios in transition on the PAC team and support POs in rescoping investments and partner relationships with strategic intentionality, tracking, and care. This may include coordinating with POs and PCs across GPA teams and country offices; managing sensitive handoffs with transparency and trust; maintaining rigorous oversight of investment transition status; and supporting POs in capturing lessons learned. This role provides an exciting opportunity to bring order and integrity to complexity, as well as shepherd investments and portfolios through critical evolutions. What You'll Do
