Temporary Supply Technician

The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is seeking 7 Temporary Supply Technicians to support daily supply chain and inventory operations across clinical and administrative departments. This role is responsible for ensuring timely distribution, stocking, and maintenance of medical and general supplies while adhering to healthcare safety and aseptic standards. Location VA Loma Linda Healthcare System 11201 Benton Street Loma Linda, CA Open Positions Total Openings: 7 Day Shift: 5 Swing Shift: 1 Graveyard Shift: 1 Key Responsibilities 1) Supply Distribution Maintain stock levels in both primary and secondary inventory locations Deliver medical and administrative supplies to wards, clinics, and various departments Prepare, organize, and replenish specialty carts Ensure shelves, storage bins, and supply areas remain clean and compliant with aseptic standards Assist with physical inventory counts and departmental audits Resolve supply-related concerns in coordination with clinical staff 2) Inventory Control Receive incoming shipments and verify delivered items Unpack, inspect, and store supplies in designated locations Maintain sterility and integrity of all medical supplies Communicate updates regarding new, changed, or replacement supply items to clinical teams Important Restrictions Temporary staff will not have access to the VA computer system for the following tasks: Charge-outs Cycle counts Inventory adjustments These responsibilities will be completed by permanent VA staff members. Required Qualifications Knowledge of supply management, stock replenishment, and inventory control procedures Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs Valid driver s license may be required based on department assignment Flexibility to work assigned day, swing, or graveyard shifts Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Work Schedule Standard Hours: Monday Friday Time: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (Pacific Time) Any work outside standard hours requires prior approval Preferred Skills Experience in hospital, healthcare, warehouse, or supply chain environments Familiarity with medical supply handling and sterile storage practices Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to prioritize urgent departmental supply requests
