Job Description
This role leads EnerMech’s tendering and proposals function across the Americas, owning the full bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through submission and post-bid review. The position is responsible for delivering high-quality, commercially sound, and technically compelling proposals that drive win rates and revenue growth.
The Tendering & Proposals Manager partners cross-functionally with commercial, engineering, operations, and business development teams to develop differentiated, client-focused solutions aligned with EnerMech’s strategic objectives.
Job Discription:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end bid and tendering process across multiple projects and service lines
- Develop and execute winning bid strategies to improve conversion rates and competitive positioning
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs (technical, commercial, legal, HSEQ) into cohesive, high-quality proposals
- Ensure all submissions are compliant, timely, and aligned with client requirements and internal governance
- Act as the central point of accountability for bid development, approvals, and final submission
- Drive commercial rigor in all proposals, ensuring alignment with pricing strategy, risk management, and profitability targets
- Oversee bid clarification processes, including response development, review, and submission
- Manage and prioritize the bid pipeline to optimize resource allocation and turnaround times
- Build strong internal relationships across business units to enhance collaboration and proposal quality
- Engage with external stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, partners) to strengthen bid positioning
- Lead post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve processes
- Establish and maintain best-in-class bid management processes, tools, and knowledge repositories
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a high-performance, continuous improvement culture
- Ensure all bids adhere to EnerMech’s authority and approval matrix
- Contribute to forecasting and pipeline planning based on tender activity and win probability
- Support budget inputs tied to upcoming and submitted opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior-level proposals, tendering, or bid management role within energy, oil & gas, or industrial services
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex bids under tight deadlines
- Solid commercial acumen with experience in pricing, risk evaluation, and contract considerations
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with energy services markets (onshore/offshore, maintenance, shutdowns, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint
- Strategic thinker with a strong “win strategy” mindset
