Position Summary: The Tennis & Pickleball Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to players of all ages and skill levels in a positive, engaging, and safe environment. This role focuses on teaching private lessons, group clinics, and specialized programs for tennis, paddle, and/or pickleball, ensuring participants progress effectively while enjoying the experience. Additional responsibilities include assisting with tournaments, fostering a welcoming atmosphere, and collaborating with the Athletic Director and team members to enhance the overall member experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and safe tennis and/or pickleball instruction for adults and children across all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Conduct private lessons, group clinics, and specialized programs, ensuring participants progress effectively while enjoying the experience.
  • Teach soft tennis lessons to children and adapt instruction for smaller courts using paddles when appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that fosters learning and member satisfaction.
  • Assist with organizing and running tournaments and other athletic events.
  • Ensure punctuality and professionalism by arriving on time in the designated uniform and using the time clock system accurately.
Required Key Skills and Qualifications:  
  • High school diploma or higher education preferred.
  • Experienced teaching clinics, as well as private and group lessons.
  • Able to teach tennis lessons using a paddle verses a tennis racket while teaching on a smaller tennis court.
  • Permanent pickleball lines are included on the courts.
Work Schedule: Evening shifts start at 4:30 pm to 6 pm.Working Conditions:
  • On unshaded Athletic courts.
Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to open wine and liquor bottles.
  • Standing on feet for up to 5 consecutive hours.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
Pay Rate: $40 per hour (Non-exempt).
