We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Pro Shop Attendant/Retail Team Member is responsible for greeting and welcoming members and their guests. This position is the first point of contact between guests and the facility. Individuals are expected to maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor with everyone.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Answering inquiries and providing excellent customer service Proper use of courts and point of sale software All opening and/or closing duties
Answer the phone promptly and politely, take reservations, direct calls to appropriate areas, deliver messages, etc.Assist members regarding scheduling and facility policies
Assist tennis coordinator with daily tasks
Maintain organized displays and desk area
Maintain clean indoor and outdoor seating areas
Additional tasks assigned by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school through adult
Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, holidays) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Must have excellent guest service skills
Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, and fellow team members
Must work well with others
Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others
Must be 18 years of age or olderWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
Will be required to stand for extended periods of time
Able to enter information on computers
Must comply with safety and health code standards
Facility has intermittent noise
Must wear proper uniform
Able to run/walk as neededPREFERRED:Tennis experience
Customer service experience
Cash handling experience
