This role performs testing procedures, analyzes test data, maintains test equipment, and collaborates with the engineering team to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.Responsibilities
- Perform functional, electrical, mechanical, or system-level testing on products and components
- Execute established test procedures and document results accurately
- Troubleshoot test failures and assist in root cause analysis
- Support engineers in developing and improving test methods and processes
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate testing equipment and tools
- Analyze test data and prepare technical reports or summaries
- Assist with product validation, qualification, and reliability testing
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and product quality
- Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in testing, manufacturing, quality, or engineering support
- Basic understanding of test equipment, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Experience with data collection and reporting tools such as Excel or testing software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
- Familiarity with automated test systems or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
- Experience with electronic, mechanical, or software testing environments
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge is a plus
- Manufacturing, laboratory, or production environment
- May require standing for extended periods and handling testing equipment
- Up to $85,000 a year DOE
