Title: Test Engineering ManagerLocation: Dallas, TX

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for testing substation control house projects while ensuring testing activities meet project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role will oversee test technicians, review testing documentation, and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain testing schedules in alignment with project and production timelines.
Monitor daily testing activities and coordinate with test technicians to address issues.
Review project specifications and ensure testing procedures meet project requirements.
Review test plans, schematics, test reports, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain testing records and ensure completed documentation is properly organized and stored.
Maintain testing equipment lists and develop/update test procedures and testing forms.
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to quality failures and testing efficiency.
Ensure team members follow electrical testing standards, safety procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe testing work areas.
Perform power testing of protective relay panels, medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, arc-flash systems, and related electrical equipment.
Test communication and HMI components, panel boards, automatic transfer switches, fire alarm systems, HVAC systems, and other power distribution components.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical field.
Hands-on experience with AC/DC functional testing of protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash systems.
8+ years of relevant testing experience.
Previous experience leading or managing a team of technicians.
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, NEC, and IEEE standards/codes.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
NETA Certification is a plus.
