Request ID: 105025-1Title: Test Lead Banking / Financial ServicesLocations: Naperville, ILDuration: 6 MonthsPay Range: $35 - $40/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive) We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with a minimum of 3 years of Test Lead experience in Banking or Financial Services projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test management, functional testing, QA processes, and banking applications, with hands-on experience using industry-standard testing and collaboration tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage testing activities for banking and financial applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Define test strategies, test plans, objectives, scope, schedules, and measurement plans aligned with business requirements.
- Lead functional, system, integration, regression, and peripheral testing activities.
- Coordinate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Monitor testing progress, risks, defects, dependencies, and overall quality metrics.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret testing reports and communicate status to project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation, and overall software quality.
- Review requirements and assess application functionality to identify potential risks and test scenarios.
- Troubleshoot application issues and work closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
- Manage defects using JIRA and Client ALM/Quality Center.
- Support test automation initiatives and integrate testing activities with CI/CD and development processes.
- Ensure adherence to established QA processes, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to QA engineers and testing teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Test Lead, preferably on Banking or Financial Services projects.
- Strong Banking/Financial Services domain knowledge is mandatory.
- Strong experience in Test Management and QA.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing and IT QA processes.
- Strong understanding of:
- SDLC and testing life cycle
- Testing concepts and methodologies
- Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Test metrics and reporting
- Test automation frameworks
- Industry testing standards
- Peripheral testing experience is mandatory.
- Experience with Branch applications is a plus.
- Strong experience in system analysis, application assessment, programming concepts, and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to define software quality goals and measurement plans in alignment with business objectives.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
