Test Technician

Location: 156 Dixon Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620

Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $18 to $25 per hour

The Dixon Group is seeking a Test Technician to join our Boss Division in Chestertown, MD! This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and contributing to product quality and performance.

In this role, you will play a critical part in testing and validating components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and compatibility standards. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external customers to deliver accurate results and meaningful insights that drive product excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble hose fittings and prepare test samples using a variety of specialized equipment
  • Perform mechanical and functional testing to evaluate product performance, durability, and compatibility
  • Analyze test data and recommend improvements to testing methods and product performance
  • Document all testing procedures, observations, and results with a high level of accuracy
  • Prepare clear, professional reports and communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot testing and assembly equipment
  • Assist in developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and manufacturing processes

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in product testing, manufacturing, quality control, maintenance, or a related technical field
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or coursework in STEM or a related field
  • Experience working with testing equipment, mechanical systems, or laboratory environments
