Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Pre-Op Technician to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting pre-operational inspections of equipment and production areas to ensure facilities are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for production. The QA/QC Technician will play a critical role in maintaining food safety, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operational inspections of production equipment and processing areas prior to start-up.
- Release production lines for operation once sanitation and food safety requirements have been met.
- Conduct routine QA audits throughout the facility to ensure compliance with:
- GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
- CCPs (Critical Control Points)
- Company Gold Standard requirements
- Monitor production processes including receiving, cooking, mixing, assembling, packaging, labeling, and shipping activities.
- Evaluate finished products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer specifications, and food safety requirements.
- Maintain and review documentation related to HACCP, FDA, and USDA compliance programs.
- Monitor and document designated Critical Control Points (CCPs).
- Verify labeling accuracy, product quality, and product traceability.
- Identify non-conformances and communicate corrective actions to production and management teams.
- Assist with food safety investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and food safety practices are maintained throughout operations.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits as needed.

Qualifications
- Previous Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, or Food Manufacturing experience required.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, FDA, and USDA regulations preferred.
- Experience performing audits, inspections, and quality checks in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding quality and food safety concerns.
- Comfortable working in a cold production environment for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections throughout the shift.
