Job Description

Pay: Up to $75 per class for Lead Coaches | Up to $45 per class for Station Coaches

TGA of Southern Westchester is looking for enthusiastic, reliable coaches to lead and support fun, engaging, and safe after-school programs for children ages 5–15.

We provide structured golf, tennis, and pickleball programs at schools and community facilities throughout Southern Westchester and Fairfield County.

We're looking for people who love sports, enjoy working with kids, and want to make a positive impact. You should have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of at least one of our sports and be comfortable sharing that knowledge with children.

What You'll Do

  • Lead or support after-school programs for children ages 5–10
  • Teach fun, age-appropriate drills, games, and activities
  • Keep children engaged, active, and excited to participate
  • Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment
  • Build confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff

Lead & Station Coach Opportunities

Coaches may work as either a Lead Coach or Station Coach, depending on experience, qualifications, and program needs.

Lead Coaches independently run classes and are responsible for the overall student experience. Lead Coach positions require candidates to be 18+ and successfully complete a background check.

Lead Coach: Standard rates up to $75 per class, with limited opportunities up to $85 per class for highly experienced or qualified coaches.

Station Coach: Up to $45 per class. Station coaching is also a great opportunity to gain experience and take on Lead Coach assignments.

We Make Coaching Easy

We provide the curriculum, equipment, training, and ongoing support.

You don't need to create lesson plans or purchase equipment. We give you the tools and structure—you bring your knowledge, energy, personality, and ability to connect with kids.

We also maintain an 8:1 or better student-to-coach ratio because we believe smaller groups create a safer, more engaging experience and allow coaches to provide meaningful individual attention.

Who We're Looking For

The right coach:

  • Has a genuine passion for golf, tennis, and/or pickleball
  • Understands the fundamentals of at least one of these sports
  • Enjoys working with children
  • Is energetic, patient, positive, and encouraging
  • Is reliable and professional
  • Can confidently engage and manage a group of children
  • Has reliable transportation to program locations
  • Is available during after-school hours, generally 2:30–4:30 PM

Previous coaching, teaching, mentoring, camp, or youth-program experience is a plus.

College athletes, former athletes, teachers, educators, and experienced coaches are encouraged to apply.

Additional Coaching Opportunities

After-school programs are our primary focus, but coaches may also have opportunities to work additional hours through:

  • Golf, tennis, and pickleball clinics
  • Summer camps
  • School vacation camps
  • Leagues
  • Weekend programs
  • Special events and tournaments

Coaches with strong sport-specific knowledge may be asked to lead our clinics.

If you love golf, tennis, or pickleball and would enjoy sharing that passion with the next generation, we'd love to hear from you.
