Job Description

Candidates must reside within NorthLakes' service area at the time of hire and maintain residency throughout employment.

The Therapy Aide will assist the occupational, physical and/or speech therapy departments by ensuring all therapy rooms are prepped and cleaned for visits. Therapy aides will help support providers and patients by verifying all needed materials, tools, and resources are available for treatment.

Salary begins at $17.71 + per hour depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Set-up, clean, restock, and organize all therapy rooms and associated spaces.

  • Shop for, cook, and prepare items for food therapy sessions. Moderate cooking skills with the ability to follow very specific instructions required.

  • Ensure a safe and healthy kitchen environment by following food safety rules, performing temperature checks, and completing food inventories.

  • Complete therapy equipment inventory on a regular basis.

  • Perform daily laundry tasks and kitchen cleaning tasks.

  • Complete monthly safety checks for therapy equipment as directed.

  • Manage the Lending Closet. This includes inventory of items, checking items in and out, cleaning items, and organization of the items.

  • Perform clerical duties such as making copies, creating reports, sending patient letters, and other miscellaneous tasks as directed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus three months related experience and/or training.

Preferred Skills

Experience with:

  • Electronic Health Records

  • Microsoft Office

  • Google Office

Required Credentials, Certification, Licensure

  • CPR Certification must be current or obtained within the first six months of employment.

  • Food Safety Certifications must be current or obtained within first 30 days of hire.
