Central Transportis an industry leading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation carrier. We are one of the nation’s largest LTL carriers and have experienced significant growth over the last several years. As we continue to expand our network, we are seeking quality mechanics to help maintain our fleet of over 2.200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities:

· Breakdown and store inbound tire shipments

· Stack, band, pro, and deliver outbound used tires to the dock

· Check tire pressure and tread on trailers in the yard. Air up units with 80-95 PSI and replace tires (in pairs) that have less than 4/32” tread or pressure lower than 80 PSI

· Record work on daily activities sheet and in transman

Minimum Requirements:

Mechanical Aptitude
Physical Dexterity (Ability to Lift 90lbs on a Regular Basis)
Reliable Transportation
Good Attitude and Willingness to Learn
Valid Driver’s License
Must be 18 Years of Age
