TMS & Spravato Technician

Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry is a mental health clinic within our network with a wide variety of specialists looking for a hire who's dedicated to assisting our interventional psych team where we specialize in the delivery of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), esketamine (Spravato) and intramuscular (IM) ketamine.

TMS is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to treat depression. Esketamine is a novel medication for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) that comes as a nasal spray that must be administered in the clinic under strict protocols, and IM ketamine is an effective treatment for a variety of mental health diagnoses and offered as a cash pay service.

The clinic is looking to hire one person to serve as a technician to administer TMS and Spravato treatments. An undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related field paired with work experience in the mental health field are preferred. Candidates with either of those two will also be considered for the position.

The responsibilities of the technician role are:

1. Administering and documenting Spravato treatments
2. Submitting REMS paperwork.
3. Performing and documenting TMS treatments.
4. Monitoring patient blood pressure during treatments, assessing for any abnormal reactions, reporting abnormalities to the nursing staff.
5. Assisting the nursing staff who are administering the IM ketamine treatment with blood pressure checks, patient needs, clinical notes and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Anticipated schedule will be as follows but is subject to vary based on employment agreements and clinic needs with opportunities for over-time pay:

• Mondays 3-8
• Tuesdays 12-8
• Wednesdays 3-8
• Thursdays 12-8
• Fridays 11-5

A consistent 35 hours/week for 3 months will qualify hourly employees for a transition to a salaried position with the following benefits:

Qualifications:Individual who provide services as a Spravato / TMS Technician shall meet the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred

• Experience working in mental health preferred

• Candidates who possess both will be prioritized but those with either of the two qualifications will also be considered.

Requirements:

• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be willing to make small adjustments to working hours to accommodate patient needs
• Must have access to a telephone.
