Tool Room SupervisorSanta Teresa, NM The Tool Room Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Tool & Die Department, ensuring safe, efficient workflow and high?quality tooling. This role includes hands?on tool and die repair/build work, CNC setup and programming, machining, assembly, and inspection of die components. The supervisor supports engineering on tooling issues, coordinates material and component purchases, and ensures proper training of team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assign daily work to Tool Room staff
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement
- Set up, operate, and program CNC and machine tools
- Build, repair, and assemble dies to specifications
- Inspect dimensions, alignments, and part quality
- Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and approve timekeeping
- 5+ years of tool & die repair and related technical experience
- Journeyman toolmaker certification preferred
- CNC programming/operating knowledge
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem?solving skills
- Metal fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain required equipment/certifications (lift truck, crane, LOTO)
