Job Description
1st OR 2nd shift:
1st shift Hours: 6:45am-2:45pm
2nd Shift Hours: 1:00pm-9:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm (some schedule flexibility allowed)
1st Priority- Daily Execution
(Key Tasks)
- Setup and removal of molds in production equipment in order to perform necessary maintenance and PM activities
- Program and Operate all Tool Room Equipment
- Make alterations to existing molds, fixtures, and tooling in support of design changes
- Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills, surface grinders, and manual lathes
- Maintain a safe working environment in the tool room for others conducting work in the tool room
- Group Leader responsibilities as assigned
2nd Priority- Mold Repairs/Maintenance
(Key Tasks)
- Mold & Die disassembly & reassembly to support changeovers or repairs.
- Coordinate and track Mold tool repairs through CMMS (eMaint)
Participate in RCFA on damaged tools from production
3rd Priority- Continuous Improvement- Reduce Cost
(Key Tasks)
- Train and Mentor
- Surface Problems
- Utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements
- 5S
Education
- Journeyman Tool and Die maker, or 7 plus years experience in a tool and die or mold shop
- Knowledge and use of CNC controls
Experience
- 2-4 years experience in machining operations/Building fixtures
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience/Exposure to Injection Molds is a plus
