Job Description
1st Shift 7am - 3:30pm Pay range $30/hr - $50/hr BOE Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on the design, build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of precision tooling used in high-speed metal forming operations. Candidates with prior experience working on US Baird and Waterbury Farrel presses are strongly preferred. Responsibilities
- Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling, dies, fixtures, and components
- Set up, troubleshoot, and support production on US Baird and Waterbury Farrel presses
- Diagnose tooling and press-related issues to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve tooling performance
- Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety and quality standards
- 3+ years of experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment
- Previous hands-on experience with US Baird and/or Waterbury Farrel presses required
- Strong knowledge of progressive dies, transfer tooling, or cold heading processes
- Proficient with manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders); CNC experience a plus
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
