Job Title:Software Engineer - Developer
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $90 - $100/hr.

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to our Space Mission Systems Rapid Space Capabilities portfolio. This role focuses on developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- 10 years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns
- Experience with space/satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, and/or customers
- Experience leading software development projects with Architect, Lead, and/or Chief Engineer responsibilities
- Active Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience
- Experience with Java, C, Python, JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI
- Experience using dependency management and automation services (e.g., Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management
- Experience as a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), Software Lead, Software Architect, and/or Chief Engineer on a complex software development project/program
- Experience with software for control systems, embedded FPGA, low latency deterministic, operator interfaces, and/or control gimbals, ground antennas, optical sensors
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems
- Partner with stakeholders to translate software requirements and models that meet customer, operational, and performance requirements
- Lead software team to successfully complete code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
- Research and oversee implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Work 100% onsite in Albuquerque, NM, focusing on development, design, review preparation, customer coordination, closed area development, etc.
