Job Description
Hadco Construction is seeking an experienced Trackhoe Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a track hoe on various excavation projects while supporting crews in completing work on time and to standard.
What You'll Do
- Operate trackhoe to effectively complete all assigned jobs within designated time limits
- Prepare daily electronic timecards for projects, including multiple tasks, machines, and employees, itemized for proper billing
- Identify hazards associated with task assignments and seek clarification when needed
- Maintain clean and safe work areas (remove debris, trash, snow, and ice as required)
- Direct laborers and other employees to complete tasks within specified time limits
- Follow OSHA guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures
- Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures; report unsafe activities to supervisors and safety managers
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a track hoe
- Basement digging experience preferred
- Hardworking, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Ability to lift, carry, and transfer 50 lbs. or more continuously
- Must be at least 18 years old with valid documentation to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and movement of 50+ lbs.
- Regular climbing, kneeling, crouching, and operation of heavy equipment
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and noise
- Exposure to typical construction site hazards, including moving machinery and uneven ground
