Position Overview
The Tracking, Tagging, and Location (TTL) Staff Officer II will support the Special Programs Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). This role involves providing oversight, developing policy, and ensuring compliance for TTL activities within the Department of Defense.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Oversight and Governance:
- Assist leadership in conducting oversight and governance, including staff assistance visits and compliance inspections, for DoD TTL activities.
- Ensure adherence to DoD standards and best practices in all TTL-related activities.
- Policy Development and Coordination:
- Develop and coordinate staff packages that include time-sensitive requirements for leadership to enable DoD TTL activities.
- Support the development, review, revision, and oversight of strategy, policy, and legislation related to TTL operations.
- Briefing and Reporting:
- Prepare briefings, talking points, and recommended positions for meetings.
- Produce and disseminate reports and briefings that detail DoD TTL activities and investments for Congress and Senior Executive Branch officials.
- Strategic Analysis and Support:
- Provide analysis of TTL-related activities against the National Defense Strategy and the priorities of the Secretary of Defense and USD(I&S).
- Conduct research and develop policy recommendations to support the Secretary of Defense, USD(I&S), and other senior officials for decisions involving TTL requirements.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with policy development, Officer related to DoD Tagging, Tracking, and Location activities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with program oversight within the DoD or Intelligence Community.
