Job Description
Our Client, an Agricultural Machinery Heavy Equipment company, is looking for a Trade Compliance Classification Specialist for their Oak Brook, IL location.Responsibilities:
- Perform HTS classifications for imported products and components.
- Maintain classification databases, records, and supporting documentation.
- Support ECCN classifications and other trade compliance activities as needed.
- Assist with audit readiness, post-entry reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to obtain technical product information.
- Maintain compliance trackers, reports, and metrics.
- Support process improvements, standard work instructions, and data validation activities.
- 3–5+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, classification, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with HTS classifications and customs compliance activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Preferred
- Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs operations, and trade compliance systems.
- Experience supporting audits, broker management, or compliance programs.
- Familiarity with ECCN classifications or export controls.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification preferred.
