The Trade Compliance Manager will ensure Harbinger’s import, export, and international trade activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This role will partner closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Legal, and Finance teams to establish processes that support a rapidly scaling manufacturing organization.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with U.S. import/export regulations, customs compliance, and international trade programs within automotive, manufacturing, or hardware technology companies.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage Harbinger’s global trade compliance program, policies, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations, including classification, valuation, and documentation requirements
  • Manage HTS classification, ECCN determinations, and country-of-origin requirements
  • Oversee import/export documentation, customs filings, and broker relationships
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to support international sourcing and shipping operations
  • Conduct internal trade compliance audits and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts to Harbinger’s global operations
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on trade compliance requirements
  • Support government reporting, audits, and regulatory inquiries as needed
  • Help scale trade compliance processes to support a growing manufacturing and international supply chain footprint

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of experience in trade compliance, import/export compliance, or global trade operations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and international trade laws
  • Experience managing HTS classifications, ECCN determinations, and export controls
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage regulatory documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field

California Pay Range

$120,000 - $150,000USD
