Purpose: The Trade Operations Compliance Assurance Senior Analyst will support hands‑on operational ownership and tactical oversight of North America Post Entry Review Process, ISF Filings, Customs Bond management and Power of Attorney accuracy record retention, including Southern Border. This role will interact with U.S. Customs (CBP), FDA (as applicable), customs brokers, carriers, 3PLs, surety providers, and other governmental authorities, with a focus on Southern Border operations. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to CBP Rules, J&J Global Standards and NA-SOP for post-audit activities, compliance and integrity of Importer of Record (IOR) and Exporter of Record (EOR) responsibilities across the U.S. territory, including Southern Border, while actively managing, Post Entry Reviews, Customs Bonds, Bond Saturation, bond claims, penalties, and assist with government inquiries/audits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Serve as subject matter expert post entry review, remediation strategies and liaison with Risk Leads to establish corrective actions when required. Primary point of contact with Brokers and third party provides to ensure timeliness and tracking of all Post Entry Correction (to include but limited to Post Summary Corrections, Protests, 1520 and possible assistance on Voluntary Disclosures).
  • Serve as the subject matter export for ISF Filing requirements and timeliness. Develop the tracking tool and the governance to ensure adherence from Brokers and Forwarders to reduce the occurrences of late filing and corrective actions.  Development of dashboards and the develop of KPI’s and establish of thresholds for both the Broker and Forwarders.
  • Responsible to develop and monitor a database of all Customs Bonds and POA’s, to ensure accuracy.  Primary point of contact for filing for, updating authorization of Customs Bonds, and reviewing bond saturation.  Coordinate the drafting, authorization of POA’s and record retention  utilizing Power Apps.
  • Support the Supplier Lead with Monthly/QBR Meetings, Broker SOP’s, Scorecards, Dashboards, KPI’s, issue resolution/tracking. Assist with the integration of new Brokers and/or Providers.
  • Support to response to requests for information (RFIs), audits, and inquiries from U.S. Customs, FDA, and other government agencies; coordinate evidence collection, prepare responses, and manage follow‑up until resolution.
  • Support the end to end process of Post Entry Review process including the develop of dashboards, KPI’s and corrective action.
  • Navigate in Trade Software tools to perform reconciliations, audits and check-points of E2E transactions, involving Maquila, including Mexico Inbound / IMMEX / “Pedimentos” / Mex Exports / US Import, to identify inconsistencies and reduce declaration exposure.
  • Collaborate with Risk Leads to develop the Global Post Entry Review process to include the implementation of systemic auditing.
  • Drive standard operating procedures, controls, and process improvements to remediate risk in both import and exports.
  • Develop the strategy for recordkeeping on Post Entry Reviews.
  • Perform monthly and QBR’s with brokers on to develop strategies to meet PER thresholds.
  • Partner with J&J Deliver Quality, and other areas, to ensure that activities are managed within the appropriate corporate framework and comply with other Johnson & Johnson guidelines (RIM, Procurement Red Book, Travel Policy, Training, etc).

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, Law, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Licensed Customs Broker and/or Certified Customs Specialist preferred.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in customs, trade compliance, and risk, strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience acting as or closely supporting Importer of Record and Exporter of Record responsibilities for U.S. imports/exports.
  • Prior experience supporting FDA‑regulated product imports/exports or working with regulated supply‑chains.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with U.S. Customs (CBP) and managing customs broker/forwarder relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, country‑of‑origin rules, duty regimes, USMCA, ACE/AES filing processes, and broker interactions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational issues, continuous improvement, lead cross‑functional projects, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with regulators, vendors, and senior leadership.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$79,000.00 - $127,650.00
