Trade Services Operations Specialist A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Trade Services Operations Specialist to join its Minneapolis operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking or financial operations professional with experience in Letters of Credit, documentary collections, trade finance, or international banking operations. This position will support a busy Trade Services Desk, helping process and manage documentation associated with Letters of Credit and other trade transactions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable reviewing complex financial documentation, and able to work efficiently in a deadline-driven banking environment.What You’ll Do

• Review and process documentation associated with Letters of Credit (LCs) and trade transactions.

• Examine Letter of Credit documentation for accuracy, completeness, and authenticity.

• Support documentary collections and related Trade Services processes.

• Receive, organize, open, and prepare incoming trade documentation and packages.

• Scan, capture, and maintain trade documents within internal systems.

• Route and send documentation according to transaction instructions and established procedures.

• Support documentation exchanged between financial institutions related to import and export transactions.

• Identify discrepancies or missing information and assist with resolution.

• Respond to operational questions and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.

• Maintain accurate records while following established banking procedures and compliance requirements.

• Partner with internal teams to ensure trade documentation is processed accurately and on time.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-4+ years of banking, securities operations, trade services, or related financial operations experience.

• Experience with Letters of Credit is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with documentary collections and trade-processing workflows.

• General understanding of international trade and the documentation involved in the import/export and movement of goods.

• Strong financial document review and discrepancy-resolution skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using SharePoint.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
