About this opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated skilled diesel truck and trailer mechanics with attention to detail. From beginners to skilled leaders, each technician will be an integral part of keeping America’s freight moving forward through hands-on, in-depth electronic diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

This position is Monday - Friday 6:00AM to 2:30PM

Core Responsibilities
· Perform accident damage repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) on both trailers and tractors to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with company and DOT standards. Diagnose issues efficiently and complete repairs using established maintenance procedures.
· Conduct aluminum and steel welding operations, including structural repairs, panel replacements, and reinforcement work, while ensuring weld integrity, safety compliance, and quality craftsmanship.
· Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on trailers and tractors, including suspension systems, landing gear, doors, frames, lighting, air lines, and other mechanical components.
· Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities, maintain organized and detailed service records for all equipment serviced, supporting operational tracking and regulatory compliance.
· Replace trailer panels and sheet metal, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure installation while restoring trailers to functional and cosmetic standards.
· Repair and replace wood and metal trailer flooring, addressing structural damage, wear, or safety hazards to maintain load stability and overall trailer integrity.
What Makes Me a Strong Candidate for This Position?
· Over one year of hands-on trailer and mechanical experience, providing a solid foundation in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trailers and tractors in a fast-paced maintenance environment. Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
· Proven experience repairing brake systems and axles on trailers, including inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, and component replacement.
· Strong mechanical and technical skills, able to quickly identify mechanical issues, understand equipment systems, and perform repairs efficiently using proper tools and procedures.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that repairs and maintenance tasks are completed correctly the first time. Consistently follow safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and shop standards to reduce downtime and prevent repeat issues.
· Ownership of basic hand tools
