As a Training Consultant within Resource Industries, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs focused on Caterpillar's MineStar technologies. Your primary mission is to equip dealers and customer‑facing employees with the knowledge and skills needed to support mining operations effectively. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to business units and dealers, identifying training needs and delivering impactful learning solutions.

MineStar is the mining industry's most comprehensive and integrated suite of technology solutions, offering capabilities in fleet management, guidance systems, and machine health monitoring. These tools drive significant improvements in operational efficiency, safety, and maintenance practices across mining environments.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and Deliver Training Create and facilitate engaging training modules, courses, and programs that align with customer service processes and mining operational needs.

  • Maintain Training Materials Ensure all training content is current, accurate, and compliant with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Evaluate Training Tools Analyze new training methods, tools, and content to assess their relevance and potential application in future programs.

  • Consult on Training Needs Partner with business units and dealers to assess training requirements and recommend tailored learning solutions.

  • Support Quality Initiatives Participate in quality assessment and continuous improvement processes for training programs.

  • Build Customer Relationships Foster strong relationships through consistent communication, delivery of commitments, and responsiveness to feedback.

  • Promote Customer‑Focused Environments Guide teams in creating service experiences that prioritize customer needs and satisfaction.

  • Anticipate and Exceed Expectations Proactively identify customer needs and deliver training solutions that exceed expectations.

  • Monitor Satisfaction Measure customer satisfaction and implement improvements based on insights and feedback.

What Skills You Will Have:

Training Operations Deep knowledge of training processes and procedures, with the ability to manage and execute training programs that support both daily operations and long‑term strategy.

Customer Focus Strong understanding of customer‑centric values and practices, with the ability to design training that aligns with customer needs and enhances satisfaction.

Service Excellence Proven ability to deliver exceptional service through training, ensuring customer needs are met or exceeded.

Consulting Skilled in providing technical and business guidance to internal and external clients, applying consulting knowledge effectively.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed, productive decisions using sound judgment.

Effective Communications Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Problem Solving Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving operational or process‑related challenges using structured problem‑solving techniques.

Relationship Management Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate and execute through cross‑functional teams including Caterpillar, dealers, and customers.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Hands‑on experience with MineStar technologies.

  • Background in mining operations or mining engineering.

  • Full‑time, on‑site position based in Tucson, Arizona

  • Up to 40% global travel; may include work on remote mine sites

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
