Job Description

The Town of Monmouth is seeking to hire a part-time attendant at the town transfer station. Currently, summer hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm and winter hours are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm. Hours are subject to change. This is an outside job in all weather conditions to include rain, sleet, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat. Saturdays and Sundays are required.

The Transfer station attendant provides manual labor involving the operation of the Town’s transfer station.
Work involves coordinating the disposal and transfer of municipal solid waste, overseeing the recycling operation, and assisting the citizens of Monmouth and Wales in the collection of these materials.
There is significant public contact required with these positions.
Some contact will be adversarial in nature.
