Job DetailsDesign and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignmentsPrepare plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheetsDesign temporary traffic control plansCalculate quantities and prepare phased construction cost estimates based on the level of submissionSupport preparation of design documentationSupport preparation of specifications and bid packagesCollaborate with project managers to develop scopes of work, cost proposals, and marketing materialsCoordinate together with other disciplines on creative solutions to a variety of design challengesWork alongside project management team to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budgetsAbility to manage, teach, and mentor junior engineers and entry level designers.Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, clients, and peer consultants and teaming partnersWhile public engagement will not be your core role, the successful candidate will effectively communicate our projects to the community including:Experience with planning, supporting, and/or executing successful public engagement activitiesSeeking input early in design through a variety of methods, including virtual and in-person public meetings and deployment of survey tools.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field2 + years of experience in Roadway DesignPractical and proficient knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil3DStrong technical knowledge of basic roadway design principlesExperience in and passion for complete street designInterested in hearing more?
