Job Title: Transportation Planner Location: 825 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202 Duration: 6 Months (7/23/2026 1/22/2027) Schedule: Monday through Friday 7: 30-4: 30 PM OR 8: 00-5: 00 PM Notes: This temporary position is to provide additional track and trace support for Packaged Truck Operations. This role is responsible for tracking and tracing day to day Packaged Truck deliveries for the Food Enterprise, specifically focused on starches, sweeteners & texturizers. Responsibilities include carrier shipment tracking and communication with external and internal stakeholders. Works with customer service and transportation team members to provide updates and work to ensure timely pickup and delivery requirements are being met and communicate risks. Position Description:
- This role is responsible for planning day to day Packaged Truck deliveries.
- Carrier utilization and scheduling, cost and service reporting and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
- Works with Sales and Supply Chain groups to understand requirements and make best value delivery decisions to support Cargill s customer requirements.
- Supports the sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of orders from an assigned set of plants and public warehouses.
- Includes building loads, monitoring of unrouted orders, coordinating ship and delivery dates, handling customer add-ons and broken or changed loads and logging and approving carrier invoiced costs.
- Typical requirements include a degree in logistics, transportation, business or a related field and 2 or more years of experience or 4 years of experience.
