Job Description

Freese and Nichols is looking for a Transportation Project Manager in the Greenville, Columbia, or Charleston, South Carolina offices. As a Transportation Project Manager, you will manage transportation projects from planning through delivery for state and local agency clients. You will lead project teams, maintain client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of Freese and Nichols' transportation practice in South Carolina.

What You'll Do

  • Manage transportation projects for DOT and local agency clients, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trust through consistent delivery
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with subconsultants
  • Support proposal development and pursuits as needed
  • Ensure designs and deliverables meet regulatory requirements and firm quality standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 6+ years of transportation engineering experience

Preferred

  • Experience working on South Carolina DOT projects
  • Flexibility to work across multiple South Carolina offices
