What you'll do:
- Transport residents safely to and from medical appointments, hospital visits, and other outings
- Coordinate and schedule appointments; communicate details with residents, families, and staff
- Arrange alternative transportation as needed and ensure timely follow-up
- Ensure all required documentation accompanies residents; report updates to nursing upon return
- Assist residents with loading/unloading and properly secure wheelchairs and equipment
- Maintain transport vehicle readiness, including cleanliness, fuel, maintenance, and registration
- Follow all safety protocols, including no cell phone use while operating company vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (repairs, inspections, preventive upkeep) and respond to urgent requests
- Maintain accurate logs for maintenance, safety checks, and compliance (including SDS)
- Build professional, respectful relationships with residents, staff, vendors, and support emergency preparedness efforts

What we're looking for:
- Must be age 25 or older
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (copy required)
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Lift up to 100 lbs. and push/move 200+ lbs. (including wheelchairs on ramps)
- Stand or walk for extended periods
- May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- CNA certification and medical transport experience preferred
- Experience working with elderly residents is a plus
