Epic experience required SHIFT: DAYS 7AM - 7PM START: ASAP RATE: /hr REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS certification from AHA required ACLS certification from AHA required RN License in state of employment or compact Type of patients on the unit: Cardiac and Telemetry Is not Stepdown unit Temp to perm is a possibility Weekend Requirement Every other weekend On Call Requirement None Nurse / Patient Ratio 5:1-6:1 depending on staffing Summary: ThecompetentNurse,inthesameorsimilarclinicalsetting,practicesindependentlyanddemonstratesanawarenessofallrelevantaspectsofasituation.Providesroutineandcomplexcare,withtheabilitytoonlong-rangegoalsorplans.Continuestodeveloptheabilitytocopewithandmanagecontingenciesofclinicalnursing.Makesappropriateassignmentsanddelegatestoothercareprovidersasameanstohelpmanagetheclinicalsituation. Responsibilities: MeetsexpectationsoftheapplicableOneCHRISTUSCompetencies:LeaderofSelf,LeaderofOthers,orLeaderofLeaders. ConsistentwiththeANAProductandStandardsofPractice,providesnursingcareutilizingthenursingprocess,includingassessment,diagnosis,planning,interventionandevaluationforassignedpatients. Addressesincreasinglycomplexpsychological,emotional,cultural,andsocialneedsofpatientandfamiliesinaccordancewiththeirlevelofpractice. Usingtheappropriateprotocol,administersmedicationsandtreatments;monitorsforside-effectsandeffectivenessofthetreatmentprescribed. Documentspatienthistory,symptoms,medication,andcaregiven. Assesslearningneedsandprovideseducationtopatients,familymembersand/orcaregivers;identifyissuesandresources. JobRequirements: Education/Skills BachelorofScienceDegreeinNursing,preferred Experience 1yearofexperienceintherelatednursingspecialtypreferred Licenses,Registrations,orCertifications BLSrequired CurrentACLScertificationrequired RNLicenseinstateofemploymentorcompact PositionRequirements: Education/Skills AllnewlyhiredexperiencedRNsmustattendNewNursesOrientationwithinthefirst30daysofhire. Newhiresarepreceptedbyadesignatedtrainedstaffmemberandinitialon-boardingrequirementsarevalidatedthroughsuccessfulcompletionofthedesignatedorganizationalentrycompetencyvalidationandaMedSurgspecificcompetencyvalidation. AllnewlylicensedRNsmayparticipateinaresidencyprogramorotherspecificorientation.Skillscompletionandcompetencycompletionwillbeachievedwiththepreceptoratthebedsideanddocumentedthroughtheprogramstrackingsoftware. Completionofallannualcompetencyverificationrequirements. Experience Oneyearofexperienceinarelatednursingspecialtypreferred. WorkSchedule: 7AM-7PM WorkType: FullTime
