Job Description

Join Our Team as a Travel RN – Operating Room/Surgery (Days) Take your nursing career to new heights by providing critical surgical care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Travel RN specializing in Operating Room and Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during exciting and pivotal procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in esteemed healthcare settings while enjoying competitive compensation and flexible scheduling.What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Valid New Mexico RN license or current Compact license
  • BLS Certification through AHA is required
  • ACLS Certification through AHA is required
  • Ability to work the designated dayshift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Weekend and on-call availability
  • Floating to different clinical areas as needed
  • Experience in surgical or perioperative nursing preferred
Helpful Additional Skills and Certifications
  • Previous experience working in OR settings, PACU, or related units
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical protocols
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to patient age and developmental level
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and compassion
Preferred Educational and Experience Level
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Proven experience in surgical, perioperative, or critical care nursing is advantageous
Other Requirements
  • Must handle emergency situations effectively
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer patients and equipment for extended periods
  • Must be able to distinguish colors, judge distances, and have good visual and auditory acuity
  • Willingness to work in a well-lit, ventilated, and safe environment, with exposure to infectious agents and x-ray equipment as part of the clinical setting
  • Travel and licensure reimbursement where applicable
