Travel ER RN Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

• Location: Near Hays, KS

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts

• Hours: 36 scheduled hours per week

• Shifts Available: Days and Nights

• Setting: LTC / Healthcare Facility

• Compensation: Up to $2,300 per week

• Travel contract opportunity with the potential for extension based on facility needs

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring urgent and emergency medical attention

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity

• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition

• Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered

• Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient status

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

• Assist with stabilization, treatment, transfer, and discharge planning

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

• Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols

• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families

• Maintain readiness to respond to urgent clinical situations within the facility

Education & Certification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license in good standing

• Current BLS certification required

• Current ACLS certification preferred/required based on facility guidelines

• PALS certification may be required depending on patient population

• TNCC or other emergency nursing certifications are a plus

• Previous Emergency Room, Emergency Department, or acute-care nursing experience strongly preferred

• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills
