Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings*
- Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and overall function*
- Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes*
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies*
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements*
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals*
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility interventions*
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations*
- Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the rehabilitation process
Education & Certification Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Bachelors/Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program*
- Current Montana Physical Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date*
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred*
- Previous clinical experience in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred*
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills*
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience*
- Experience working with orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and post-surgical patient populations*
- SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), LTC (Long-Term Care), and small facility experience is highly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills*
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems*
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
