Job RequirementsEducation Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Certifications Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification*
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification*
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with ventilators, blood gases, and BIPAP/CPAP machines*
• Experience performing Updraft Therapy and EKGs*
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations

Other Requirements:

• Comfortable working in a hospital setting with rotating shifts, including nights and weekends*
• Proficiency with HMS/MedHost EMR system preferred*
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments

Job Responsibilities

• Apply advanced respiratory therapy techniques, including Updraft Therapy and ventilator management, according to patient needs.*
• Monitor and interpret blood gas measurements, ensuring optimal patient care and adjusting treatments as necessary.*
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.*
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including BIPAP, CPAP, and ventilators, ensuring proper functioning.*
• Document all procedures and patient responses accurately within the HMS/MedHost EMR system.
