Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Travel Director of Nursing (DON) to provide nursing leadership and clinical oversight for a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong nursing leader with a background in long-term care and skilled nursing management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all nursing operations and clinical services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and department leaders.
- Coordinate staffing plans and workforce management initiatives.
- Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Manage clinical risk, infection control, and regulatory readiness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives.
- Promote a positive work environment focused on resident-centered care.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Previous Director of Nursing (DON) experience strongly preferred.
- Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of nursing regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
