Travel Med-Surg RN Unit Information: Med-Surg Location: Overland Park, KS Shift Type: Day Shift Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 AM End Time: 07:00 PM 12 Weeks Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 61022 Weekends: 4 (Fri, Sat, or Sun) shifts in a 4 week period General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 24 Number of Staff 7 Type of staff: o Day Shift (1 charge, 4 nurses (RNs or LPNs), 2 PCTs, 1 unit clerk) o Night Shift - (1 charge, 4 nurses (RNs or LPNs), 2 PCTs) Patient Ratios 6:1 Type of equipment BLS, NIHSS EMR Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: BLS candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Prior inpatient acute care experience Basic dysrhythmias Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Worked at trauma center List typical procedures performed on unit(s): PIVs insertion/management/removal central line management/removal foley insertion/management/removal NGs insertion/management/removal drain management/removal wound care and ostomy management Continuous bladder irrigation Chest tube management EKG List any machines and/or equipment used on the unit: Alaris IV pumps Hoyer, Sarah Steady Feeding pumps Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines iMobile Vein Finder Virtual Admission RN (10a-10pm) #TB_RN
