Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - MS/Tele- Inpatient Surgical Unit 4C 48's
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 48 hrs per weekLength: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- NH RN License or Compact License
- 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience
- Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit
- Required Experience: Chest tubes, Tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Telemetry, Complex wounds and Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws
- BLS
- Level I Trauma center but several years at a Level II Trauma center experience is acceptable
Other Details:
- 36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients
- This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population
- This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority
- The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma
- Acute Care Surgical diagnosis: hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy
- RN Patient ratios: days: 1:4 nights 1:5
